The
four categories in the dictionary were designed to act as a guideline
for
you as parent or user when addressing certain issues on the Parent
Indaba website to be launched soon.
The Parent Indaba website will provide a forum for parents, internet
users and family members to interact with each other, specialists,
supporting bodies and organisations to discuss and create solutions for
specific issues through the process of sharing and guidance.
"We have given these the African name of indaba groups, groups where in
traditional African culture, people get together to sort out the
problems that affect them all, where everyone has a voice and where
there is an attempt to find a common story that everyone is able to
tell when they go away from it. This is how we approached it. This is
what we heard. This is where we arrived as we prayed and thought and
talked together". Archbishop
of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, April 2008.
