HOW IT WORKS

  • The account holder will download the software application (NetPARENT on the home PC.
  • The content criteria of the customized dictionary of NetPARENT can be predetermined by the account holder.
  • They will be notified via sms and/or e-mail should the child investigate any of the predetermined content on the internet.
  • The account holder receives an alert sms and will be able to remotely block the screen of the PC.
  • The PC can be unblocked remotely via sms or by submitting the correct password.

This is also the only content filter and notification platform in South Africa monitoring both incoming and outgoing information



  1. Subscribers home computer with the NetPARENT application already installed
  2. Access to the Internet, outgoing or incoming e-mail or key-stroke action activating a trigger word in the Dictionary
  3. NetPARENT detects and sends an alert via sms and/or e-mail (with a screenshot of the actual page and IP address of the computer) to the user
  4. Alert is received by user on mobile phone and/or alternative computer
  5. The user now has the option of responding via sms
  6. Sms response is activated
  7. Home PC screen is blocked. User can unblock again via sms or password from their mobile phone.
